Training Program

Basic Dog Obedience Training in Atlanta — On & Off Leash

Maybe your dog won't come when called at the park. Maybe you avoid having guests over because the jumping and barking is embarrassing. Maybe you love your dog deeply, but the daily communication between you two feels more like guesswork than understanding.

That's exactly what basic obedience training is for.

What it is and why it matters

Basic obedience isn't just about teaching commands — it's the foundation every advanced program builds on. More than that, it's the beginning of a new kind of relationship between you and your dog.

Dogs are constantly searching for ways to communicate with us, and they're remarkably good at it. We don't always communicate back as effectively. This program is designed to build trust, respect, and clear boundaries — always starting from seeing your dog for who they actually are. That's the key to getting real, lasting results.

Training can happen two ways:

In-home program:

8 to 10 lessons, 1 hour each, once a week, in the comfort of your own home.

Boarding program:

Your dog stays with me for 3 weeks of intensive training. Once they’re back home, we follow up with 3 more lessons to reinforce everything learned.

Choosing the right program isn't as simple as picking one — it takes a professional evaluation to know what your dog truly needs.

After evaluating your dog in person, I recommend the format that actually fits: their health, temperament, history, and specific needs. Boarding isn’t the right call for every dog, and neither is staying at home. That decision depends on variables only a hands-on evaluation can reveal, which is exactly why every training plan starts with a consultation.

Basic Obedience is where most training journeys begin, but it’s one part of a full range of training programs I offer across Atlanta — the right starting point depends on what your dog needs.

Don't just take my word for it

Mike trusted Paw Reboot with training for both Charlie and Skye. Here's his experience.

We hired Stephanie who came to work with us. She worked with Charlie for over ten visits and Charlie did great. She loved the training. Charlie was really good at it.
